"When we encounter extreme challenges in our life, such as being diagnosed with a life threatening disease, we become convinced that our worlds are spinning out of control, and we are afraid. But life is not meant to be lived in fear. Our innate mission is to be fulfilled. It is our birthright to manuevere through tribulation with joy in our hearts; and by doing so we realize our deepest desire, which is to discover who we really are at our soul's level. Finding our way home to our spiritual essence brings us the peace and joy we craved during years of wellness, and need now that we stand in the face of our greatest trial."
Renate Weiler

Renate Weiler's journey ended on March 2nd, 2009.

In December of 2007, Renate Weiler was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Renate underwent surgery to have the growths removed in January of 2008. The surgery was deemed a success, however Pancreatic Cancer has a 5% survival rate. The doctors informed Renate that she likely had 1-2 years left to live.

Instead of feeling sorry for herself, Renate thought about how she could help others. Renate along with 3 of her very close friends wrote a book, Dying To Live Well: loving the journey.

While she will be greatly missed, Renate would want us to remember her for all that she has accomplished in her life, rather than remembering the disease.
